Rethinking product communications
This year I led design for Meta Business Suite platform and communications — shaping how key information is delivered to business admins and establishing product governance for our partner teams, ensuring that the framework scales.

Overview
Meta Business Suite (MBS) enables business admins to manage multiple social media assets and handle various administrative tasks. The platform's value depends entirely on admins staying on top of what needs their attention.
This is where our the system failed. Communications across MBS were fragmented and duplicative. Five channels competed for the top spot, sending conflicting priority signals and causing confusion. Missed messages, customer leads, and permission requests led to business operations degrading — and Meta losing out on significant revenue opportunities.
I overhauled the system, redefining how these channels are structured, accessed, and acted on across the platform. This drove measurable lift in engagement and revenue.
My role and team
I served as product lead — identifying core problems, validating with data, defining scope, and aligning on a design direction with several partner teams. I partnered with a tech lead, 2 engineers, and a content designer to audit the current experience, conduct opportunity sizing, and build out content strategy.

Utility navigation
Improving discoverability for comms
I consolidated communication channels into a persistent right-side utility panel, making comms accessible from anywhere on the platform. This decision was driven by a discoverability insight — only a third of MBS users land on home by default, and so, most were missing communications entirely. The new treatment established a key structural principle - the left panel for surface navigation, the right for utility overlays that support admin workflows.
Persistent To-do list
Consolidating all things actionable
The new experience is persistent, built as a nested list organized by priority. It was designed to handle a high volume of tasks with varying complexities, while surfacing what matters most at a glance. Inline resolution via Meta's AI Business Assistant allows admins to act without leaving the panel. Improved actionability and access to the To-do list drove admins to address pending business critical actions, directly impacting revenue.

Notifications needed a clearer job: awareness, not action and priority. I rebuilt the panel as a priority-agnostic stream — introducing inline triage capabilities and visible tabs that better align with how admins think about their work. The redesign drove measurable improvement in notification engagement.
